Through the Fresno State Alumni Association, the Creative Writing Alumni Chapter is proud to champion the Larry Levis Memorial Scholarship, which directly supports a graduate student in the university’s Master of Fine Arts program in creative writing.

From 2019 to 2023 — through a unique five-year crowdfunding campaign, The Fresno 15 Creative Writing Marathon — the chapter raised more than $25,000 in gifts big and small from 159 unique community donors. The collective effort will provide an annual endowed scholarship to an MFA student in perpetuity.

Help us grow the legacy of the late Larry Levis, one of Fresno State’s most widely published poet alumni, by supporting current creative writing students.

How to Give

1. Visit the FSAA’s secure online giving form, in the web app iModules.

2. Enter your donation amount.

3. Click on View All Giving Opportunities.

4. Scroll down to the scholarships section, check the checkbox for the Larry Levis Memorial Scholarship in Creative Writing, and then click Continue.

5. Complete your personal information below. Click “save and continue” and then follow the prompts from there.
